I got the course material at the beginning of 2020 and ran my first course with a friend who has a counselling and social work background. I am trained as a Occupational Therapist. The material was fantastic and the course incredible. Because of Covid 19 and lockdown, we decided to continue the course (adapting it slightly) on line using Zoom, and it was still very effective. I would encourage anyone thinking of using this course to go for it. Being holistic and encouraging people to embrace who they are and spirituality whilst they explore and learn coping skills is so necessary and refreshing. I must also add I learned a lot from leading this course as well. I am hoping to run the course again sometime soon.

I am a Charted Counselling Psychologist in private practice.
After attending the HCBT training an opportunity to present the programme to a local church has naturally appeared.
I am toying with the idea to offer it to the church team as a pilot to then run it for parents and/or youths. It will need some thinking and adapting, yet I am so enthusiastic as it fit so well my passion for mental health prevention.
Very curious to see what fruits will develop.
Thanks for checking out the website and using the forum Ian- that's good to know about the health and care standards in Wales
Really interested in the work Hilary. Its an area that The Health and Care Standards (2015) in Wales have included in their document. Spirituality now included in the curriculum for the training of student nurses as of last year in Wales. So relevant post Covid!
thanks for sharing that Carey
